Philippians 2:5-8 NLT

You must have the same attitude that Christ Jesus had. Though he was God, he did not think of equality with God as something to cling to. Instead, he gave up his divine privileges; he took the humble position of a slave and was born as a human being. When he appeared in human form, he humbled himself in obedience to God and died a criminal’s death on a cross.

May New Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, embody the spirit and attitude of Christ Jesus, who, though divine, embraced humility and service above all. Let this community be marked by selflessness, where each person considers others’ needs as greater than their own, fostering a culture of kindness and mutual respect.

May the residents of New Bethlehem walk in the footsteps of humility, inspired by the example of Jesus, who took on the nature of a servant. Let this path lead them into deeper connections and strengthen their bonds, as they serve one another with joy and genuine love.

Let the spirit of sacrifice that Christ demonstrated on the cross be woven into the fabric of New Bethlehem’s identity, encouraging all to live lives marked by generosity and compassion. May their actions reflect a commitment to the welfare of their neighbors, promoting peace and goodwill throughout the community.

As New Bethlehem grows and thrives, may it do so under the banner of Christ’s love and humility. Let each day bring new opportunities to demonstrate obedience to God through acts of service, and may the community be enriched by every act of kindness shared among its people.

Blessed be New Bethlehem, a town where the legacy of Christ’s ultimate sacrifice inspires all to live with purpose and grace. May it stand as a beacon of hope and a testament to the transformative power of living a life modeled after Jesus, whose love and humility know no bounds.
